Despite strong sustainable mobility initiatives—including autonomous minibus trials and e-cargo bike projects—car use continues to rise, creating pressure on the transport network. Challenges such as housing growth, limited rural connectivity, and the need for improved multimodal travel call for advanced, coordinated mobility solutions.k.

CHORUS supports Oxfordshire in orchestrating automated transport services, last-mile logistics, and integrated network management across three use cases:

  • UC1 – Orchestrated Autonomous Passenger Transport
  • UC2 – Orchestrated Last-Mile Logistics with Autonomous Fleets and E-Cargo Bikes
  • UC3 – Holistic Passenger–Freight Network Management
