CHORUS Community of Practice (CoP)

The CHORUS Community of Practice brings together the people and organisations shaping the future of connected and automated mobility in Europe. It is a collaborative space where cities, mobility operators, technology providers, researchers, policymakers, and civil society actors can exchange experiences, learn from real-world demonstrations, and contribute to the development and uptake of CHORUS solutions.

What happens in the CoP?

The Community of Practice offers the opportunity to connect with peers across Europe who are facing similar challenges. Members can gain early insight into CHORUS results, explore lessons learned from demonstration sites, and discuss practical questions related to traffic management, automation, governance, and user acceptance. By taking part, stakeholders can also share their own perspectives and help shape how CHORUS technologies and approaches are refined and communicated.

Who is the CoP for?

The Community is open to a wide range of stakeholders. It welcomes, but is not limited to, representatives from cities and public authorities, transport and mobility service providers, technology developers, researchers and educators, policy and regulatory bodies, as well as organisations representing citizens and end users. This diversity is essential to ensure that discussions reflect the complexity of real mobility systems and the people who rely on them.

Key Topics and Focus Areas

Activities within the Community of Practice include regular online exchanges, thematic discussions, and interactive sessions focused on key topics addressed by CHORUS. These may cover areas such as multimodal orchestration and traffic management, the integration of automated and conventional vehicles, governance and regulatory frameworks, accessibility and user trust, and the replication of solutions across different urban contexts. Peer learning plays a central role, enabling cities and stakeholders to learn directly from one another’s experiences.

Why join the CHORUS CoP?

Stakeholders interested in joining the CHORUS Community of Practice are invited to get involved. Participation is open, and joining the Community provides a simple way to stay informed about project developments, take part in discussions, and contribute to shaping the future of connected and automated mobility.
