On 8–9 July 2026, the CHORUS consortium convened in Bari, Italy, for its 2nd Governing Board Meeting, bringing together project partners to assess progress, coordinate upcoming activities and reinforce collaboration across the consortium. Hosted at the Polytechnic University of Bari, the two-day meeting provided an important opportunity to align technical, management and demonstration activities as the project continues to develop its orchestration framework for Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM).
The first day focused on the overall progress of the project, with updates from all work packages covering project management, technical development, governance, safety and legal compliance, communication and exploitation activities. Partners reviewed achievements to date, discussed ongoing technical developments and coordinated the next steps to ensure effective integration across the project’s research and innovation activities.

The second day centred on CHORUS demonstration activities, highlighting the project’s diverse pilot sites across Europe. Partners presented the latest developments from demonstrations in Paris-Saclay, Oxfordshire, Trikala, Bern, Geneva, Zurich and Helsinki, showcasing a broad range of CCAM applications, including autonomous passenger transport, urban logistics, multimodal mobility services and intelligent traffic management. These discussions reinforced the project’s commitment to validating innovative orchestration solutions in real-world environments.
A dedicated interactive session brought together demonstration partners to refine end-user application requirements through collaborative discussions. By considering evaluation methodologies, governance frameworks and safety aspects alongside user needs, the consortium ensured that future technical developments remain closely aligned with practical deployment requirements and stakeholder expectations.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to the next phase of the project, strengthening collaboration across the consortium and reinforcing the common vision of delivering innovative, scalable and user-centred solutions that support the future of connected, cooperative and automated mobility across Europe.
