CHORUS Presented at the SOTERIA Workshop During the 8th IRTAD International Conference 2026

On 15 April 2026, the CHORUS project was presented at the SOTERIA – Systematic and Orchestrated Deployment of Solutions in Complex Urban Environments for Ageing and Vulnerable Societies workshop, organised as part of the 8th IRTAD International Conference – Better Road Safety Data for Better Safety Performance in Athens, Greece.

The conference brought together road safety experts, researchers, policymakers, and industry representatives from around the world to discuss advances in road safety data, automation, artificial intelligence, big data, and evidence-based approaches to improving transport safety.

During the workshop, the CHORUS team presented the project’s overall architecture, objectives, and pilot activities, highlighting its approach to developing a unified, multi-actor orchestration framework for the Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM) ecosystem.

The presentation demonstrated how CHORUS integrates diverse transport modes through secure data exchange and AI-enabled traffic and mobility management to support more efficient, safer, and more accessible urban mobility. It also showcased the project’s focus on enhancing the user experience through real-time information and personalised travel recommendations, fostering collaboration between public and private stakeholders, and helping cities reduce congestion while contributing to European sustainability and climate goals.

The workshop provided a valuable opportunity to share the CHORUS approach with the international road safety community and exchange knowledge with experts working on innovative solutions for safer, more inclusive, and resilient urban mobility.
