CHORUS Featured in PAVE Europe Academy Course on Trust and Safety in Automated Mobility

As part of its commitment to education, stakeholder engagement, and capacity building under Work Package 5, the CHORUS project was recently featured during a PAVE Europe Academy course dedicated to digital forensics and trust in autonomous vehicles.

The session, delivered by by Lima Madomi, researcher and Project Manager for CHORUS partners TPG and HES So Geneva, introduced participants to the role of digital forensics in connected and automated mobility (CCAM), exploring how digital evidence can support the investigation of safety and cybersecurity incidents. The discussion highlighted how transparent investigation processes can improve accountability, strengthen public confidence, and support the safe deployment of automated transport systems.

The workshop also provided an opportunity for participants to exchange views on the societal aspects of automated mobility. Discussions focused on the importance of clear communication following an incident, emphasising that timely and transparent information is essential for maintaining passenger trust.Participants agreed that public acceptance of autonomous vehicles depends not only on the technology itself, but also on understanding how incidents are investigated and how responsibilities are managed.

Further discussions addressed the role of trained operators, effective incident management procedures, and transparent governance frameworks as key elements in building confidence in connected and automated mobility.

The event reflects CHORUS’ broader objective of supporting knowledge sharing and capacity building across the CCAM ecosystem. Through educational activities such as the PAVE Europe Academy, the project aims to foster dialogue between researchers, industry, public authorities, and future mobility professionals, while promoting greater understanding of the opportunities and challenges associated with connected and automated transport.

Carmen Frigerio, Project Communication and Event Manager at PAVE Europe, and Work Package 5 leader for CHORUS commented

As CHORUS progresses, PAVE Europe will continue integrating project activities and results into its educational programmes, contributing to the development of a more informed, skilled, and engaged community around the future of automated mobility.

And if you are interested in takin part in our activities and shape the future of CCAM don’t forget to join the CHORUS Community of Practice to connect with peers across Europe, exchange practical experiences, and stay at the forefront of connected and automated mobility. Whether you want to learn from others, share your expertise, or help shape the future of mobility solutions, we invite you to become part of the conversation and make your voice count.
