Trikala, Greece

Trikala, a pioneering mid-sized Greek city of 80,000 residents, is recognised for its early adoption of smart mobility and autonomous bus pilots. As the city continues to grow, it faces challenges related to congestion, sustainable urban logistics, and the integration of modern CCAM technologies into its transport network. With strong experience in deploying smart TMS (Transport Management System) and AV services, Trikala now aims to deepen automation and multimodal coordination.

In Trikala, CHORUS extends existing pilots by integrating off-street delivery robots and collective perception systems with C-ITS-enabled traffic management to improve safety in mixed traffic.
